APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The first shipments of supplies collected by Thedacare to help those in Ukraine have been shipped.
Two pallets worth of supplies have been sent to Ukraine already.
“It’s the basic medical supplies you can think of for an area of conflict,” said Courtney Weiland, Vice President of Philanthropy with the ThedaCare Family of Foundations. “Things around PPE, bandages, sterile items.”
Weiland says they’re happy to do what they can to help.
“We have an idea of what care is needed, we think about what we, if we were in Ukraine, what ThedaCare’s role might be,” explained Weiland.
The hospital has partnered with the International Medical Corps, an organization working on the ground in Eastern Europe providing medical relief.
Thedacare is gathering donations on their website at thedacare.org/donate. There’s a Ukraine fund option to donate to, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the International Medical Corps.
