A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for a four-season building at Lakeshore Park.

The more than $1.2 million building is projected to contain a large multi-purpose event room for up to 150 people and two sets of restrooms that both accessible from the inside and the outside of the building. The building will also include terraces and a plaza.
Lakeshore Park, located along the Fox River and Lake Butte Des Morts, was previously Lakeshore Golf Course before Oshkosh Corporation purchased the land to build its new headquarters. After building its headquarters, Oshkosh Corporation agreed to turn the rest of the land into a public park.
