GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Metro Fire Dept. was called out at 11:35 last night to 1738 Farlin Ave. for a structure fire with smoke and flames showing.
A GBMFD Med unit returning from the hospital was first on scene and found heavy fire shooting from windows on two sides of the building.
Occupants of the building, one adult and three children, escaped uninjured prior to GBMFD arrival.
Crews had the fire knocked down in 10 minutes and fully extinguished in a half hour.
Extensive overhaul of the building was needed due to the amount of fire.
The loss is estimated at $75.000. The fire cause is undetermined at this time.
Occupant states that there was a candle burning in the area of origin.
The occupants are being assisted by Red Cross.
