GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police are investigating shots fired after one person was wounded Thursday night.
Green Bay Police say one man was shot a gunman is still at large after responding to the 1200 block of Chicago Street.
“Our officers got a 911 call regarding multiple gunshots,” Police Captain Jeremy Muraski said.
The department received notice of a man who was at a hospital for a gunshot wound and was able to link it to the shooting.
He says they also learned that the suspect and the victim likely know each other.
“We do believe that the parties are acquainted with each other and it is not a random occurrence so we don’t think there is an ongoing threat to the general population.”
The person shot received non-life-threatening injuries.
Police blocked off the road for a few hours while officers collected evidence.
