BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) – Fire has caused roughly $25,000 worth of damage to a Bellevue facility.
Crews were called to Waste Management, 1861 Allouez Avenue, Thursday morning for reports of a structure fire.
Officials say the blaze started in the back corner of the building where welding was taking place.
On arrival, firefighters determined the blaze was in the facility’s wall, with garbage having started burning after it was compacted between the walls.
It took crews more than an hour to cut the exterior sheet metal of the storage building to gain access to the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
