CHILTON, WI (WTAQ) – A Calumet County judge this week ruled that a man charged with killing his mom is still not mentally competent to stand trial.
In 2008, Brian Eklund allegedly stabbed Cynthia Bache multiple times because she made Eklund take his medications, go to church and have him treated at a hospital.
Eklund last had a psychiatric examination in 2010, so Calumet County requested another evaluation earlier this year.
The civil mental commitment is indefinite; no future court dates were set, according to Clerk of Courts office.
