GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay officials met Monday night to discuss an ongoing rat problem.
The Protection and Welfare Committee recommendation will be presented to the full city council next month.
Alderwoman Barbara Dorff says the committee is directing the inspections department to focus primarily on removing rats from the west side of Green Bay.
The department will look for properties that may be unknowingly attracting rats, such as homes with bird seed or animal droppings in the yard or with crawl spaces.
Officials will also keep an eye out for obvious health and safety violations.
