GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The man accused of killing Nicole VanderHeyden earlier this year will stand trial.
On Friday, a judge ordered George Stephen Burch to stand trial on a count of first-degree intentional homicide. Burch will enter a plea on November 4.
VanderHeyden’s body was found back on May 21 in a Bellevue field.
Police used DNA tests and cell phone tracking records to link Burch to her death.
The criminal complaint does not mention any witnesses seeing Burch with VanderHeyden, nor does it offer a motive for her killing.
