GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – About 13,000 runners will compete in the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon on Sunday.
The full marathon begins on Lombardi Avenue at 7 a.m.
2,000 volunteers are helping out with the event featuring runners from 47 states, Puerto Rico and ten other countries.
This is the first year the marathon features wave starts. Runners will be sent off at separate intervals in effort to ease congestion.
While the forecast expects warmer and more humid conditions for Sunday, conditions for Saturday’s 5-K and kids’ run are supposed to be ideal, with registration for the kids’ fun run still open.
