GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay police have released the identity of the woman found inside a vehicle shot to death on the UW-Green Bay campus.
In a release Tuesday, 39-year-old Krystal Torres-Smith was found dead inside a vehicle parked at the Lambeau Cottage lot on Nicolet Drive early Monday morning.
Police say Torres-Smith, a mother of three living in Green Bay, was shot multiple times in an apparent homicide. The Brown County Medical Examiner’s office says an autopsy on Torres-Smith has been completed.
Authorities go on to say that the homicide is not a random act and ask anyone who may have information about her death to contact them.
The investigation is ongoing and school officials say it’s the first murder on campus-owned property in their history.
