HOBART, WI (WTAQ) – State and local authorities continue to investigate a house fire that killed a former long time volunteer firefighter at his home in Hobart.
The victim was publicly identified Monday as 89-year-old Harold Ambrosius.
The blaze was reported early Friday afternoon, at a home where Ambrosius lived alone.
A woman escaped unharmed.
According to an obituary, Ambrosius spent 26 years as a volunteer for the Hobart Fire Department.
