OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – The Oshkosh Corporation has won a new contract to re-build 18-hundred military trucks and a thousand trailers.
The U-S Army has approved a five-year, 780-million dollar deal, in which Oshkosh will upgrade the trailers-and-vehicles to the latest model designs and restore them to new condition.
All the work will be done in Oshkosh, and will start this year.
Oshkosh vice president John Bryant says the company has restored over 12-thousand heavy vehicles since 1995, adding safety features and improving their reliability.
