OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – The man convicted in the drunk driving crash that killed Carmine DeAngelis last fall was sentenced Friday to 23 years in prison.
Winnebago County Judge Scott Woldt broke down the sentencing of Joshua Ronnfeldt to 20 years on the homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle count, and another 3 years for knowingly operating with a revoked license.
On October 5, Ronnfeldt has a blood alcohol level of .156 when he slammed in DeAngelis’ vehicle. She had stopped for a train.
Ronnfeldt was also placed on extended supervision for 8 years after release. Also, his driver’s license was revoked for 5 years, and he would have to use an ignition interlock for 5 years if he does get a license.
Ronnfeldt had 3 previous convictions for drunk driving, as well as bail jumping, burglary, and criminal damage to property.
