WAUSAU, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – High winds and snow contributed to a multi-vehicle pileup near Wausau Friday afternoon, state troopers say.
The crash, which involved 39 vehicles, happened on the southbound side of U.S. Highway 51, north of County Highway K, around 4:10 p.m.
Ten people were injured as a result. No deaths were reported.
The highway was closed for about four hours.
The State Patrol is investigating the crash.
