APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Appleton have arrested a man following an attack on the Newberry Trail Saturday.
Police say a woman was running on the trail when she says she was attacked from behind by someone and forced to the ground. It happened around 11:40 a.m.
Authorities say two other people scared off the attacked, with one of them chasing after the suspect, but he got away.
Appleton cops later found the suspect and arrested him. They say he admitted to being involved.
Officials believe this was an isolated incident and no one else was involved.
