GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Police and Fire Commission has named James Lewis the interim police chief.
The announcement Thursday comes as Green Bay P.D. is planning on conducting a nationwide search for a permanent replacement for retiring Chief Tom Molitor.
Molitor plans to retire at the end of July.
Lewis has serviced as the interim chief for both Appleton and Grand Chute recently. He was also Green Bay’s police chief from 1995 to 2003.
