DENMARK, WI (WTAQ) – Inattentive driving caused a crash involving a manure truck and a hay-baler Friday morning.
Authorities say it happened near Highway 96 and County Road NN in Denmark around 9 a.m. Friday.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department says the manure truck driver was heading east on Highway 96 when the hay-baler tried to turn left into a field. The truck driver failed to pay attention, and went into the ditch before the truck flipped and rolled.
Deputies say they used hay bales to divert the manure from spilling further. Authorities closed the road for cleanup and re-opened around 11:30 a.m.
The manure truck driver was cited for inattentive driving.
