APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A former Hortonville village administrator has been sentenced to prison for eight years for possession of child pornography.
Patrick Vaile was also placed on extended supervision for years after his sentence.
Vaile pled no contest to a count of possessing child pornography, with 15 others dismissed as part of a plea deal. The judge was allowed to consider those other charges during sentencing.
Investigators found over 150 images of child pornography on Vaile’s computer and a flash drive, according to the criminal complaint. Vaile admitted to viewing and saving images of nude children, typically between 12 and 16-years-old.
Following his arrest, Vaile resigned as Hortonville’s village administrator.
