GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A former teacher at Bay Port High School was sentenced to one year in jail for sexually assaulting a female student.
In Brown County court Friday, 33-year-old Christopher Wieber was also put on probation for 6 years.
According to prosecutors, Wieber kissed the victim on the lips and touched her chest over her clothes.
The judge, however, ruled Wieber won’t have to register as a convicted sex offender. He said Wieber’s motivation behind the crime wasn’t sexual in nature.
Wieber will report to the Brown County Jail next month.
