GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – One thing about a 39-26 loss to Philadelphia that hurts is how ineffective the Packer defense was in the first half.
The Eagles rolled to a 39-14 lead at intermission behind new quarterback Sam Bradford.
What could hurt much more is the loss of wide receiver Randall Cobb. One week after All-Pro Jordy Nelson was lost for the season, Cobb left Saturday’s game with a shoulder injury. It isn’t known how serious it is yet.
Starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga and defensive back Micah Hyde both left the game with injuries. Bulaga hurt his ankle, while Hyde was listed as having neck spasms. Packers coach Mike McCarthy told the media he didn’t believe either injury was serious.
NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers didn’t play in the third game of the preseason, but rookie Brett Hundley was 22-of-31 for 315 yards and two touchdowns.
