WARRENSBURG, MO. (WTAQ-WLUK) — The trial for the man who allegedly killed two Shawano County brothers was postponed another eight months Monday.
Garland Nelson allegedly killed Nick and Justin Diemel, who went to Nelson’s farm in northwestern Missouri related to the cattle business. Court documents allege Nelson fatally shot the brothers who came to collect a $250,000 check.
The trial, which had been set for June 6, was postponed Monday to Feb. 6, 2023, court records show.
A three-week trial is planned.
The trial had been postponed once already before Monday.
Nelson also faces federal charges on mail fraud, but no hearings have been held on that matter.
