RHINELANDER, WI (WTAQ) – A Wisconsin Senate panel is hearing ideas from local business leaders on improving the state’s economy.
The Economic Development and Commerce committee is holding its second of five forums Monday afternoon at Nicolet College in Rhinelander.
Ranking Democrat Julie Lassa of Stevens Point says the committee will hear from local economic development experts, business leaders, and others in the private sector.
Selected community members will also speak. Other people can express their ideas at the Senate Republicans’ website.
The panel’s “listening tour” comes as the Legislature’s fall session gets into high gear.
The first forum was held last month in Oak Creek. Others are set for Thursday in Appleton, next Monday in Menomonie, and October 26th in Platteville.
