STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The land sale for a controversial downtown hotel in Sturgeon Bay was approved by the city’s Common Council Tuesday.
A four-story, 76-room hotel along the waterfront will be built by Sawyer Hotel Development.
Some residents have filed a lawsuit in federal court, arguing the property consists largely of filled lake bad. Those opponents say that means the land is publicly-owned.
