KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ) – Officials held a grand opening ceremony for a new park in downtown Kaukauna on Wednesday.
Hydro Park, located along Highway 55, includes a prairie, green space and two plazas. It’s in a former canal that led to a power plant.
Most of the nearly $2 million project was funded by Kaukauna Utilities. Officials say the park focuses on the histories of the company and the city.
Organizers say the park has plenty of space to host festivals and other large events.
