APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton police say a man involved in a crash on Highway 441 nearly two weeks ago has died from his injuries.
84-year-old Louis Wiegel Jr. of Fond du Lac was involved in a crash around 5 a.m. on October 7. Wiegel died this week.
Authorities say Wiegel’s minivan was struck when the driver of an SUV changed lanes in front of it. The crash sent the minivan over the embankment, between Highway 441 and the E. College Avenue on-ramp, causing it to roll several times before coming to a stop.
The SUV driver, a 62-year-old Kaukauna man, will not be charged in the crash.
