Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – Drivers should slow down on, or altogether avoid, the Leo Frigo Bridge because of high winds, the state Department of Transportation says.
The DOT has issued a wind advisory for the bridge, which carries Interstate 43 over the Fox River in Green Bay.
The advisory means vehicles such as semis, RVs and vehicles hauling tall trailers should avoid the bridge.
It’s recommended other drivers avoid the bridge as well. Vehicles on the bridge should slow down to 45 mph.
Wind gusts of 45 mph have been reported on the bridge, making travel difficult and possibly dangerous, the DOT says.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for much of our area until 6 p.m.
