MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – Manitowoc police say a man was arrested for drunk driving after slamming his pickup truck through a wooden fence.
Authorities say they were flagged down by patrons of Capone’s Bar & Grill, 1036 S. 10th Street, around midnight. They say a man was drunk and threatened to hurt other people inside the bar.
The drunk man, already inside his truck in a nearby parking lot, saw officers approaching and he put the truck in reverse, spun his tires and crashed through the wooden fence.
He then drove off, but police caught up to him about a block away. When officers stopped him, he still had a piece of the fence hanging out of the bed of the truck.
The 40-year-old Greendale man was then arrested.
