SOBIESKI, WI (WTAQ) – A person is in custody after a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash near Sobieski.
Oconto County sheriff’s officials say they were called to the scene on Highway S for a report of a man’s body in a ditch.
Investigators believe the crash happened between 6 and 10 Monday night.
Vehicle parts were found at the scene. Authorities believe a 2002 to 2006 light colored G-M-C 2500 Sierra Pickup, Suburban or Yukon was involved.
A vehicle was recovered early this morning.
They’re still asking anyone who may have been traveling down County Road S Monday night, and saw anything suspicious, to contact them.
