LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) – There was a police presence this morning at Little Chute High School following a report of a bomb threat at the school.
During the investigation, Little Chute High School, Intermediate School and Middle School were placed on a hold.
School administrators and the Fox Valley Metro Police Department were able to track down the source of the threat and determine it was not credible. Further investigation discovered the individual who made the threat claims to have made it “as a joke.”
A further search was completed on the school property and no threats to students or staff were located. After the situation was found to be safe, the school’s hold was lifted, and classes resumed on their normal schedule.
The individual responsible for making this threat has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation. As the result of this investigation, charges are being referred to Outagamie County Juvenile Intake. No further information about the person responsible will be released due to their age.
