(WNFL)- The Bucks and Marquette University are working together to create a multi-purpose research facility to support college and pro athletes, wellness programs, and more. Marquette President Mike Lovell announced the project yesterday. He said it will provide cutting-edge research in sports nutrition, medicine, rehab, and overall performance. It will be built on seven acres in downtown Milwaukee that Marquette recently acquired. Lovell said the building would also have indoor playing fields for several Marquette teams as well as other recreation and fitness areas. Officials hope the design will be completed in six months. Construction will take one-and-a-half to two years.
