(WNFL)- Jonathan Lucroy is scheduled to play in minor league intra-squad games tomorrow and Friday. The Brewers’ All-Star catcher has taken part in virtually all the drills at Spring Training. But he has not been able to run, as he recovers from a high hamstring strain which he played through last September. Lucroy was helped by a plasma infusion he received just before Spring Training began. He says he has not felt any discomfort so far, and he expects to play in games with the Brewers next week. Lucroy who broke the team record for doubles last year said he’s trying to be cautious so he doesn’t re-injured the hamstring. Meanwhile, first baseman Adam Lind’s return from lower back problems is being delayed for a day. He was supposed to make his spring debut this afternoon against San Francisco but the Brewers will not have a workout beforehand, and the training staff wants Lind to get proper stretching before he plays. Also, left-handed reliever Dontrelle Willis is not sure when he’ll pitch again, after he missed an appearance last Saturday with a stiff neck. Manager Ron Roenicke says Willis is improving, but he still gets treatments each morning.
