The Colorado Rockies defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 in Cactus League play Monday behind the pitching of Jon Gray who allowed just two singles in four scoreless innings for Colorado. Scooter Gennett drove in the only run for the Brewers with a single in the sixth. The Rockies plated two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings against the Brewer bullpen. Milwaukee managed only six hits on the day. Gerrardo Parro played several innings at first base for the Brewers who will face the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday night.
