(WNFL)- Former Packers’ receiver Greg Jennings has reportedly signed a two-year, eight-million dollar contract with the Miami Dolphins. The 31-year-old Jennings played his first seven NFL seasons in Green Bay, where he won a Super Bowl title in the 2010 campaign. He then spent two years with Minnesota before the Vikings cut him this past winter. At Miami, Jennings will be reunited with his former offensive coordinator in Green Bay, Joe Philbin who’s now the Dolphins’ head coach. Media reports said Miami considered bringing in Jennings two years ago, but chose instead to sign Mike Wallace whom they recently traded to the Vikings. ESPN said Jennings met with both Green Bay and Carolina this off-season before choosing Miami. Jennings had solid numbers for Minnesota last season, with 59 catches for 742 yards and six touchdowns. For his career, Jennings has 552 receptions for 8,083 yards and 63 touchdowns. Earlier in the off-season, Jennings said he hoped to be a mentor to younger receivers as he finishes out his own career. The Dolphins have one of the youngest receiving corps in the NFL, with Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills both in their early 20’s.
