The long losing streak is finally over. The Milwaukee Brewers snapped an 8 game slide by beating the Cincinnati Reds 4-2 at Miller Park Thursday afternoon. Adam Lind put Milwaukee on top with a solo home run in the second. Kyle Lohse gave up a two run shot to Marlon Byrd in the 5th but Milwaukee came right back to tie the game when Aramis Ramirez hit his first of the year in the bottom half of the inning. Jean Segura delivered the big hit, a two out RBI single in the 7th to score Logan Schafer. Rayn Braun added an insurance run in the 8th after stealing third and coming home on a poor throw. Lohse picked up his first win against three defeats by working seven innings, allowing two runs on just three hits. Johnathan Broxton struck out the side in the 8th and Francisco Rodriguez gave up a hit in the 9th but finished it off for his second save. The Brewers avoided a four game sweep and welcome the St. Louis Cardinals for a weekend, three game set. Matt Garza will throw the opener Friday night. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:35 PM on WTAQ.
