The San Francisco Giants completed a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 3-1 victory Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park. Joe Panik hit a go ahead two run home run in the 5th inning off Mike Fiers after Ellian Herrera had given the Brewers the lead with an RBI single in the 4th. Gregor Blanco added a sacrifice fly in the 9th for the final tally. Fiers drops to 1-5 on the season, giving up just two runs over five innings and he worked out of a pair of jams earlier. Ryan Vogelsong picked up the win. Milwaukee managed only six hits and Khris Davis had two. Both were triples in each of his first two plate appearances but he was left stranded at third both times. The Brewers have now lost five straight and sit at 16-32 on the year, worst in the major leagues. After a day off Thursday, Milwaukee welcomes the Arizona Diamondbacks for a weekend series.
