(WNFL)- The Green Bay Packers held their first public practice today, as part of their organized team activities. Coach Mike McCarthy said there are no long-term injury concerns with anyone in his roster. He said there were a number of mental errors, but rust is expected and while it was great to be on the field, he said there’s a lot of work to be done. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was on hand, along with all the veterans and most rookies. McCarthy said linebacker Clay Matthews would continue to play on the inside on occasion, and he’ll give opponents as many different looks as possible. Quarterback Brett Hundley and receiver/kick returner Ty Montgomery were away, attending the players’ union’s annual rookie primer about the business side of the game. Practices began yesterday in the third-and-final phase of the team’s spring OTA’s. Two other voluntary OTA practices will be open to fans next Tuesday, and on June 10th.
