(WNFL) – A grand slam home run from Carlos Gomez was the big shot as the Milwaukee Brewers ran their winning streak to a season-high six games in a row. There were plenty of fireworks for the suddenly red-hot Brewers who beltedCincinnati 12-1 Friday. Gerrardo Parra and Aramis Ramirez also left the yard with big flies. Parra’s homer led off the game. The winning streak is Milwaukee’s longest since April 2014. Gomez, Ryan Braun and Jonathan Lucroy had three hits each. Mike Fiers picked up the win by pitching seven scoreless innings. His record improves to 4-7. Gomez’s first home run since later May came in the seventh inning with the bases filled. Jimmy Nelson goes for his sixth victory tonight at Cincinnati. Game time is 6:15 p.m.
