(WNFL) – The Verizon Indy-Car Series comes to Milwaukee this weekend for what may be the final time under its current arrangement. It’s the fourth year of IndyFest, put on by Michael Andretti’s Sports Marketing firm. The stands are generally not much more than half-full for the feature race on Sunday, the ABC Supply Wisconsin-250. The managing director for the weekend festival, Kevin Healy, says his group is in discussions with Indy-Car officials on the event’s future — and for now, he can’t say much more. The weekend events begin late tomorrow. Fans can watch practices and qualifying for Sunday afternoon’s race. An exhibition of vintage Indy-Cars is also featured. Will Power won last year’s race at the Milwaukee Mile — and he’s back, along with previous Milwaukee Indy-car winners Ryan Hunter-Reay, Scott Dixon, Ryan Briscoe, and Tony Kanaan.
