GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – One of downtown Green Bay’s bridges will be closed for almost all of January.
The city’s Public Works Department says the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge, which carries Main/Dousman Street across the Fox River, will be closed from January 4th-31st. Crews will be working on the span locks.
West of the Fox River, Dousman Street will be closed at Broadway. East of the river, Main Street will be closed at Washington Street.
Traffic will be detoured onto Broadway, Walnut Street and Monroe Avenue. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes as backups will be likely.
