(WNFL) – Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is a shoe-in for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2016. If history counts for anything, it likely means the Packers will be looking at a fifth preseason game next season, the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. The N-F-L hasn’t announced who will be playing in next years contest, but current Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is trying to get out in front of things. Rodgers doesn’t want the Packers playing in the game, which would give them five preseason games. Rodgers called preseason games “meaningless” in August, after the Packers lost Jordy Nelson to a season-ending knee injury. Already having to play four preseason games, Rodgers certainly doesn’t want to add a fifth game. Rodgers told FoxSports.com, “We hope we don’t get it, but we know it’s going to be tough because number four is going to be going in.”
