GILLETT, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A suspect is in custody after two men were stabbed in Gillett Thursday morning.
Shortly after 5:45 a.m. dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the 300 block of E. First St.
The caller said two men were stabbed and another man was possibly still in the residence and may still be armed with a knife, police say.
The two victims were taken to the hospital and a search began for the suspect who was no longer at the scene.
At this time, students in the Gillett School District were on secure hold while officers looked for the suspect.
Just after 8:45 a.m., the suspect was found in the 100 block of S. Richmond Street and taken into custody.
Once the suspect was in custody, the secure hold at Gillett schools was lifted and the school day resumed as normal.
Police say the incident was not random.
