MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — All lanes of Highway 141 in Marinette County are finally open again following a deadly train derailment on Wednesday.
The highway was closed in both directions for nearly 24 hours after a dump-truck rear ended a box truck waiting for a train pass, pushing the box truck into the oncoming train.
The driver of the box truck was killed.
Thick, dense fog was a factor in the crash, according to sheriff’s officials.
