The 43rd W.I.A.A. Girls State Volleyball Tournament returns to the Resch Center in Green Bay for the weekend. Play begins Thursday afternoon with Division 1 Quarterfinals. At 4:30 PM, defending D1 champion Divine Savior Holy Angels will face D.C. Everest. Appleton North will go up against Greendale. At 7:00 PM Thursday night, Neenah will play Oconomowoc and Verona takes on Burlington. It’s a full day of action Friday, beginning with the Division 4 semifinals at 10:00 AM. Two-time defending champion Newman Catholic returns to face Living Word Lutheran while Clayton tangles with Southwestern. The Division 3 semifinals begin at 1:00 PM with defending champion Waterloo playing Eau Claire Regis and Oshkosh Lourdes facing Lake Country Lutheran. At 4:00 PM, the Division 2 semifinals will feature Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay, at state for the first time in school history. The Tritons will draw defending champion Catholic Memorial. Altoona takes on East Troy. The Division 1 semifinals will be played Friday night at 7:00 PM. Championship matches will begin Saturday morning at 9:00 AM in Division 4, 11:30 AM in Division 3, 2:00 PM for Division 1 and 4:30 PM for Division 1.
