GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Two Preble High School Students are being charged with making Terrorist Threats after police say the 16 and 15-year-old students admitted they made violent threats against the school as a joke.
The students posted the threats on Instagram Sunday night and told detectives that they “wanted to see what people’s reactions would be. That kicked off a wave of reports to the school district and police from concerned students and parents.
Both students were taken to Brown County Secure Detention.
Police say it doesn’t appear there was any real threat against the school.
There is increased police presence at Green Bay Area Schools Monday.
