GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police respond to three shots fired incidents Thursday night.
Officers were first called to the 1200 block of Berner Street shortly before 7 p.m. Multiple shell casings were found. No one was hurt, and there was no property damage.
A short time later, police responded to the 200 block of De Leers Street. While no one was hurt, a significant amount of property damage was reported.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Hubbard Street. No injuries were reported, but there was property damage. The 800 block is where a vacant home was hit with bullets twice in three days last week.
Police say it is too early to tell whether the shootings are related. Anyone with information is asked to call Green Bay police at 1-920-448-3200. Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis and Mayor Eric Genrich will hold a previously scheduled news conference today to address gun violence in the city. A Green Bay alder has proposed creating a task force to address the issue.
