(WNFL) – Brett Favre is expected tonight (Thursday) to get one step closer toward enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame. A list of 25 semi-finalists from the modern era has been cut to 15, and the “Gold Jacket Finalists” will be unveiled in a live program at seven pm on NFL Network. Favre topped the original list of 108 nominees in his first year of eligibility, after the quarterback won a Super Bowl and three MVP titles in 16 years in Green Bay. Linebacker Kevin Greene, a former Packers’ coaching assistant under Mike McCarthy, is a repeat semi-finalist. The enshrinees will be announced the day before the Super Bowl, and they’ll be inducted at Canton next August.
