(WNFL) – Former Wisconsin men’s basketball coach Bo Ryan was a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015. Ryan on Friday was among 14 finalists named to the 2016 class. The 68-year-old Ryan led Wisconsin to the Final Four in each of the last two seasons and reached the title game last season against Duke, falling 68-to-63. Under Ryan, the Badgers never missed the NCAA tournament and won four Big Ten Conference regular season titles and three Big Ten tournament titles. They never finished worse than fourth in the league. Ryan’s Big Ten record was 172-and-68, for a winning percentage of .717. That is the number-one mark in league history. The 2016 Hall of Fame Class will be announced on April fourth in Houston before the NCAA Championship game.
