Mike C. McCoy has passed away at the age of 62. The Green Bay Packers announced the death which occurred last weekend. McCoy was a third round draft choice out of Colorado in 1976 and appeared in 110 games during his career with 97 starts through the 1983 season. The defensive back played his entire career under Head Coach Bart Starr. He had 13 career interceptions playing in the secondary with the likes of Steve Luke and Packers Hall of Famer Johnny Gray. McCoy reportedly battled issues with dementia and was the subject of a story dealing with the condition in the San Diego Union-Tribune in 2011.
