(WNFL) – Former Buffalo point guard Lamonte Bearden announced Wednesday he would transfer from Buffalo, with the possibility of ending up in his home state, according to a report on Madison.com. He was a high school teammate of UW senior guard Zak Showalter. Buffalo granted Bearden’s release to seven schools: UW, Arizona, TCU, Texas A&M, Marquette, Iowa State and Miami, according to ESPN. Bearden, listed at 6-foot-3, graduated from Germantown in 2014 with offers from South Dakota State, North Dakota State, UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay, but he settled on Buffalo.
