COLUMBUS, Ohio – Thanks to a pair of goals from Annie Pankowski and Jenny Ryan, the No. 1 Wisconsin women’s hockey team blitzed Ohio State, 7-0, on Friday at the OSU Ice Rink.
In addition to Pankowski and Ryan’s multi-goal efforts, junior Emily Clark added five points off a goal and four assists.
Sam Cogan and Baylee Wellhausen also scored for Wisconsin (16-2-1, 12-2-1-1 WCHA) as the Badgers outshot Ohio State (8-9-2, 4-9-2-0 WCHA) 48-14.
Senior Ann-Renée Desbiens stopped all 14 shots she faced to earn her seventh shutout of the year, which is tied for the NCAA lead.
